Answer
About a 1/2 day if experienced, but from the tone of your question, you've never done this before. I recommend a guitar kit. That comes with the body, neck, wiring, pickups etc. Like a model you put together. They can be purchased at Guitar Center, or similar stores. Carvin has the best Kits. The sound is premium and the looks are unique. But if your looking to make one from scratch, like cutting and shaping the wood yourself, to color and finish, you'll need the proper tools, and they cost a load. In other words, it's not economical. That's where the kit comes in. So if you have access to a wood working shop with all the machines, and some choice mahogany, abalone inlays, mother of pearl, ivory keys, etc. it could take a month at 8 hours a day for the beginner. Order a kit from Carvin and enjoy the experience! And ROCK-ON from Va. Beach!!
