I recently purchased a takamine ef341sc. It must've been a demo guitar, because it has "Takamine" written very largely on the body, just below the strings and to the right of the bridge. It appears to be some sort of decal. I want to get rid of it without causing any damage to the guitar...any tips?

Really? This is the auto section, not the guitar section.
Goo Gone. Get some, rub it on, rub it off. You'll probably want to give the body of the guitar a good polish afterwards, as well. I'm assuming most normal human beings don't have a blow torch laying around.
