how can i get rid of a really bad oder out of my guitar case?

my guitar case has a really fowl odor and i cant stand it. i tried spraying febreeze on it and leaving it outside but the odor wont leave....help?

after trying the baking soda..if there is still a stench... try spraying it with vinegar, closing it for a day and then allowing it to air out.

Does anyone know where i can buy a black and white chequered guitar case like Joe Jonas?

I want to buy one for my daughter. The guitar case has black and white checks on it and it is the one that Joe Jonas had in the Disney film Camp Rock. I live in the UK.

In about a year they will start making cases like those or you can go to any guitar store and customize the case or u can try ebay or amazon. But I got one when I was at a guitar store and customized a regular plain guitar case hope this helps!

What materials and would you need to build your own guitar case?

My dad loves bass guitars and has quite a few. Guitar cases are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive and want to know what materials should he use to build his own? I would also like to know what tools to use. Thank you.

You could probably build one out of a combo of wood and plastic...but it's definitely NOT a good idea if your guitar(s) are expensive ones. I feel you on this one, (my cello case was $500!) but IMO it is better to spend the money if the cost of the instrument warrants it. If your dad does have fairly expensive bass guitars, this case might be a good option since it holds more than 1:

I was looking for something kind heavy/punk rockish yet easy to do. I want to be able to distinguish my guitar case and just have it look kick ass!

Well there's always trying to paint something on it. But one thing that I like a lot more would be decoupage. What that essentially means is covering your case in a non-water soluble glue (will survive if something spills on it) such as the Mod-Podge brand glue, then covering the case with pictures of you and your friends, your favorite bands, punk rock symbols, etc. Once you have everything glued on, put another layer of glue on top so that the ink doesn't run and the pictures are secured! My source has a good example, and more ideas!
