What year is my Dean Guitar?

The serial number is O06101350. It is a dean ml x and I just need to know the year

I worked in a guitar shop that sold Dean guitars for over 30 years, so I can probably identify it. Dean Zalinsky made some really nice stuff before selling the brand name. After that they were imported from Korea and the quality of these ranges from really crummy to not-so-bad, with a few that are actually pretty good. I spoke to Dean personally and he said he was making more money after changing over to imports and didn't have to work as hard as when he was hand making each guitar. Because of this history, serial numbers are pretty much meaningless. It would take close up photos from many angles to identify your guitar. If you send them, I will do my best.

Are Dean acoustic guitars of decent quality?

I am looking at purchasing a Dean Exotica FM-12 string acoustic/electric guitar. I have looked through many reviews, and most of them are positive. However, the positive reviews tend to be vague, and negative reviews (1-3 out of 5 stars) have fairly specific details, such as "focuses more on looks than guitar quality, resulting in a thick coating of resin deadening the sound". Does anyone have experience with this guitar, or Deans in general that can help me out? Thanks.

I have a few rare Dean guitars that im trying to find more information on?

I'm trying to find more infromation and values of these three guitars, a Dean hollywood bel air which has a rising sun type paint job, a Dean Eighty-Eight, and a Dean Mach 5. Any information would be helpful and i'm trying to find out how much each would be worth.

If you can't find a local shop that does certified appraisals then try contacting Ed Roman using the form in this link. It is for consignment sales, but you could ask for an appraisal as well I'm sure. Ed is a huge collector of Dean guitars and if you decide to sell them he may want them himself. Good luck.
