help making a guitar pick necklace?

well i went to a green day concert, and i got one of mikes picks, i really want it to be made into a necklace. how would i do it? how would i make a hole in it without breaking it? what should i make the necklace out of, im a guy so it cant be anything girly. thanks for the help

here's what i did for mine. i got a matching puka necklace and got some crafting wire from michaels. took a nail and hammered the tip of it on the pick to make a small hole. made a loop with the crafting wire to connect the pick to the necklace. if puka necklaces aren't your style i've seen people use small ball-chain necklaces to string them. another way to make a hole would be to burn the tip of a paper clip or something and melt a hole. but that depends what the pick is made of. the pick i used is acetal and a nail worked fine. if it's nylon i don't think you could burn a hole through it that good. and if it's lexan i think it would be hard to nail a hole through. also celluloid picks are flammable so be careful with those :P good luck

my daughter likes this band called marianas trench and I wanted to get her a guitar pick necklace with them on it for her birthday, but I couldn't seem too find one online. If I did they were out of stock. so I was wondering if there was a way I could make one for her. they don't have any CDs with their faces on that I could cut, so that won't work. does anyone know a way I could do this? besides custom making one.
I don't want to buy online. thanks. I've bought a lot for her already. I don't really want to spend an extra $20. jw if there's any fast methods to making my own.
I don't have a pick to hold.

Ok so my boyfriend is 16 and he loves so play his guitar. I want to get him some kind of guitar pick necklace that i can engraved the date we started dating on the back and out initals on the front. I dont care if its plastic or what ever around 30 dollars or under would be great i dont really want to make it. Any websites would be greatly appriciated thanks

Try a music store.You can get stainless steele I know might be engravable.Or you might get the pick there and some malls engrave any item or a jewelry store would be last choice,.Good luck with that.

Me and my bestest friend have this thing called bffl day, every month we get eachother something. She got me a cute little guitar necklace (i play guitar) but i dont know what to get her. She likes cupcakes,violins and is really into braclets and necklaces with the boho chic/ native american vibe.

I think it would be creative if you used her zodiac sign to get her a nice gift. Look up her birthday and see what her sign is (if you don't already know what it is) and see if you can work around that.

If you like the idea, you could get her a bracelet or necklace with the sign already engraved on a little rock or pendant. There are tons that you can find on Ebay, or in-store. There are also certain colours and stones associated with each month of the year, so you could take that into consideration if you're looking to give her something other than jewellery.

It’s sterling silver, good price, they will engrave it for you, but the chain is not silver – it’s stainless steel. Below this one there is another one that’s exactly what you want but is more expensive. I don’t know what your price limit is.
