I want to make sure it is a good quality guitar strap that looks good. Also is it heavy? I am buying it for someone who has an Ibanez guitar.

I haven't tried that one but do own about 6 Levy straps and they are by far my favorite. I have found that the basic 2.5" soft suede Levy strap is my personal favorite. I have been tempted to try the boot leather though.

Is it ideal to use a Rockband guitar strap with an acoustic guitar?

Okay, I have an acoustic guitar, and I just bought the extra button to put around the nut to attach a strap. Now, can I use a guitar strap from a Rockband guitar? I mean, I know of course you CAN, but would it be the right length? How long show a guitar strap be for an acoustic guitar and how low should it hang when you stand up?

First of all, the extra strap button goes on the heel of the neck on the treble side, not on the nut. Use a real guitar strap, not one from Rock Band, since an acoustic guitar weighs a lot more than a piece of plastic. Basic straps are as cheap as z$5 or $6 at a good music store.

I am taking acoustic guitar lessons soon.. but I don't have a strap for it, i own an electric guitar and i have a strap for it... can i use the electric guitar strap for the acoustic guitar?

The only difference between an electric guitar strap and an acoustic guitar strap is that you must first plug in the electric guitar strap.

I just spent $24 on a nice suede Levi's guitar strap. Only problem is that it's ridiculously short, and I feel like one of the Beatles when it's on me with the guitar. Who sells a good quality guitar strap preferable made of suede or leather that has some length?

How do you tie a guitar strap onto an acoustic guitar with one peg?

So I have an acoustic guitar with only one peg/nut thing for the guitar strap. I have a guitar strap with two holes and one string. How/where do you tie the string. Please give a BUNCH of details and pics if you have any!!!!

I recommend installing a strap button on your guitar. I know a lot of people tie their straps to the headstock but it's not a really good idea. Mostly because the guitar will have a tendency to slide around on you and it's just really uncomfortable. You can get a strap button at your local music shop for just 2 or 3 bucks. If your good with simple tools they're not too hard to install. Some music shops will even do it for you if you ask.

Have a guitar strap with tassels on the end, how do I tie them together so that the guitar is safely held by the strap?
Has a strap button on the bottom of the guitar but is absent of another one on the head of the body. The strap has the button hole on the one end and tassels for tying to the head on the other.
