I want it to be a low price, but good quality.
I'm thinking the Takamine S35 or Yamaha F310.
Any suggestions?
Answer
Takamine are certainly good. Go to your local music shop, preferably with a friend who knows, and see what's on offer at the price you can afford. Do you want steel or nylon strings? What kind of music do you want to play? Get your friend (or an assistant ) to play a few for you and see which one you like the sound of. Then try to play them yourself. See if the strings are easy to push down against the fingerboard. Be aware that, when you start, your fingers will hurt a lot at first, although this goes away after a time. Also be aware that you cannot have long, pretty nails on your left hand. Hope this helps, but please email me if I can help further.
