If you look at the Guitar Hero box, it looks like that guitar and drum controls are different than Rock Band's in that you have to plug the Wii remotes into the instruments. In Rock Band, you just plug the drums and the guitar receiver into the USB drive. If the controls and the game are not compatible, is there any sort of adaptor that will allow you to use Rock Band controls with Guitar Hero when using the Wii?

No- Sorry- you can not use Rock Band controls to play Guitar Hero World Tour. However- if you would have bought Guitar Hero World Tour, then you'd be able to play Rock Band 2 with those instruments. I know- Bummer deal.
