Your guitar's body shape is called a "dreadnought". Since you own a relatively inexpensive instrument, you probably want a low-cost case to match - I'm thinking something like this:

What hard case will fit my acoustic guitar?

I need a hard case for my acoustic guitar because I am having it mailed from a friends house in Townsville to the Gold Coast (Where I live). I have been looking on the Internet all day, but every case I've seen so far is too small. My guitar is a Tangledwood TW28-CSN-CE, Evolution cutaway dreadnought.
the dimensions are: 106.7 x 48.3 x 15.2 cm. I'm looking to spend around
$100.00. Thanks for any help!

Your measurements don't make a lot of sense. I suspect you're measuing the wrong places, but it doesn't sound like you need to measure at all. A dreadnought is a standard size (the commonest one, actually) and takes a dreadnought (D size) case. If that's your total budget, buying locally might be your best bet in order to avoid shipping charges. Otherwise, try Musician's Friend or maybe Elderly (the latter has a very wide case selection).

I just bought a expensive acoustic guitar and it came in a hard case the guitar is a yamaha ac1m closest thing to a taylor 114ce that's why I bought it. Idk how to store the guitar. It's currently in its case standing up in a closet.

Well it depends on how long you plan to store it and where you live. The case is the best place for it regardless but if you just put it in the case for a day or two you shouldn't need to do anything special. Now if you live in an area of extreme weather like high humidity you should probably put a desiccant (you know those little white packets of silica gel that you get in shipped stuff) in the case to absorb moisture. The make dehumidifiers for guitar cases and are available at most on line and retail music shops. If you plan on storing it for a long time then you need to loosen the strings so that the neck doesn't have any undue stress between playings.Some players will also lossen the truss rod but thats only if you plan to store it for a really long time or ship it somewhere. Additionally if you plan on storing it for a long time then a good grade of guitar polish and fret board polish /wax will help from getting finish cracks because of the wood drying out. This is importatnt for the fretboard as well as the body of the guitar.

Addl: Say there Tony B, just because you are a top contributor doesn't mean you have any idea what you are talking about. Guitars are shipped with their truss rods either completely loose are not very tight at all so they necks don't get warped in transit due to changing weather conditions. That is why guitars have to be "set up" to make them playable once they reach the music retailer. Secondly they make fretboard waxes, polishes and oils to keep the mostly rosewood necks on acoustic guitars from drying out and cracking. Since the asker didn't say how long he would be storing the guitar I gave him all the options for a myriad of time intervals. You probably want to stick to commenting on something you might have some idea about, which obviously you don't.

How much should I sell these instruments for on Craigs List?

I have a child size acoustic Squier guitar and hard case, a child size Cremona violin with two bows in a nice hard case, and a regular size Gemeinhardt flute in a nice hard case, all used.
I want to sell them on craigs list, they're all in fairly good condition. Does anyone know how much I could sell them for?

I don't know what area you live in but unless you're really pressed for time you might have better luck on EBay. I've recently tried to sell some items on Craigslist that I don't need (computer equipment, big screen TV) and the responses I got were jokes. For one thing there is a big scam on Craigslist where people offer to buy your item for more than you ask for it, and then try to get you to ship it to a third party address in Nigeria using a fake Paypal account. I didn't fall for this myself but this scam is very widely known on Craigslist.

The "real" people who responded all either offered to buy my stuff for jokingly low amounts or they wanted me to take payments, hold a check for weeks, things like that. I didn't find any of the replies I got on Craigslist to be from serious buyers.

Then I listed them on EBay and got almost exactly what I wanted for them, hassle free.

You should do some online research to get an idea of what your items are worth. No matter where you post them, you need to ask a reasonable price and the only way to do that is to research.

What guitar cases fit a Seagull s6 acoustic guitar?

I'm having a difficult time finding a guitar case for my guitar around Austin, TX.
Is there a universal case that would fit a dreadnought Seagull s6?!

I would think any standard dreadnought case would work for that guitar too. I had a heck of a time finding a case deep enough for my Guild D4 because it has an arched back, but I did eventually find a Guardian case that fit it. Try taking your guitar in to Guitar Center and seeing if the RoadRunner acoustic cases fit it. I would think they would. They'll let you try your guitar out in the cases as long as they know you brought it in with you (or you could just try one of their guitars in it - they sell Seagulls). When I was trying to find a case for my Schecter C1-E/A (a thicker semi-hollowbody electric) I had to take it in to 4 different shops before I found a case that fit it well. The important thing is that the guitar fits snuggly into the case and doesn't shift around. When you close the case the bridge and strings should just leave a slight indentation in the top lining of the case. Also be sure there's not space around the sides of the guitar. They're not really a "one-size-fits-all" thing, but the Seagull S6 is not an odd size guitar so there should be a lot of cases out there that will fit it nicely.

I see some places sell the Seagull S6 with a Gator GC-Dread hard case ($89). I've also seen them with an SKB hardshell case if that's any help.

What is the best acoustic guitar and what is the best electric guitar for a beginner? Should I buy new guitars or used guitars.

It's really hard to give an answer to this question when you have not eluded as to what music you want to play and what sort of budget you are working with.

Yamaha, Epiphone, Ibanez, and Fender all make good beginners electric guitars. Taylor's student line are a good choice for an acoustic, but if they are too expensive, the same names mentioned for electric guitars, make good student acoustic guitars as well. I would at one time steer beginners away from Fender acoustic guitars, as their quality was pretty iffy in the past, but the newer ones are acceptable. If you go with a Fender acoustic, buy a new one.

Used guitars are a good way to get a better guitar for your money. If you know of an experienced player that would be willing to go with you to test them, you can find many good deals in the want ads and craigslist. Don't do this alone though, as there are some people that will try to fob off junk to a beginner. Local music stores also often have good deals on used gear.

Do not buy your guitar at a big box store. Those deals that seem too good to be true, usually are. Names can be confusing here. "Starcaster by Fender" and "Maestro by Gibson" are really crappy Chinese guitar kits, that have licensed the respective names. They are poor at best and often unplayable out of the box. In most cases, either they cannot be fixed, or the cost of repair is greater than the value of the guitar. Same is true with many no name guitars sold in big box stores and online. If you must buy online, I recommend you use Musician's Friend. You won't get a counterfeit guitar from them. They also have a reasonable return policy, should you get a lemon.

Shop at a local music store. The prices will be competitive with Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc. and they will be more helpful to get you what you need, whereas the corporate backed stores are only interested in how much money they can get out of your pocket on the given visit. Local music stores depend on repeat business and customer loyalty, so you'll get better service all around. When you end up with questions and/or problems, you'll be glad they know you. when it's time to buy more gear, you'll be glad they know you, as they tend to give regular customers better deals.

I love indie music, and i really would like to play the guitar. I've researched and found an acoustic guitar, and now i am just wondering how much time and effort i will have to put into to learn how to play it. Is it a hard instrument to play?

its easy... it'll just take some time for your fingers to get used to it.... but make sure that it (the guitar) is set up. in some cases guitars can be hard to play because the frets arent levelled properly/ fret buzz or the action is too high making it difficult to play. in many cases beginners lose interest in the instrument because of this. so buy a good one! dont buy ones less than $100...just to make sure.
