in terms of quantity, yes, but quality, you'd have to look at the guitar and amp to determine whether or not the price is reasonable. Everything else is pretty standard. I haven't had experience with either of those two companies, so i can't say honestly, but i wouldn't say the pack was worth it.

What should I do? I dropped my electric guitar and it has a few minor scratches?

It's just a cheap squier strat but it's my first guitar that I got about a month ago. Do you think I should buy a guitar polish or repaint it or should I just leave it the way it is? I'm gonna get a les paul in a couple of months and I need your opinion if it's worth spending some money to remove the scratches from the guitar. It's black by the way

Leave it alone. Scratches add character. People spend lots of $$$ for brand new guitars that are made to look beat-up on purpose. I know it sounds stupid, but it's true. I don't get it either.

How to maintain worn Gibson finish?

I own a Gibson SG Special with a worn brown finish. I understand that this guitar has considerably less lacquer on it than most Gibsons, and It has begun to fade in several areas. Normal guitar polish doesn't help, can anyone recommend any products that will either bring back the finish or protect it from further damage?

It is not meant for the finish on that guitar to stay 100% like new. Guitar finishes will wear over time. Heat and humidity are the worst enemies. The humidity needs to be kept just right to keep the wood from wearing. Gibson guitar polish is the best for those guitars and is formulated for the finish. There is not much you can do to bring back the finish. Enjoy it for what it is.

I got guitar polish on my satin finish electric... What should/could do?

I recently purchased myself a Billy Corgan Signature strat but didn't think before applying guitar polish to a small portion on the base of the body. I know. I suck. Is there anything I can do to get my satin finish back?

Answer
Don't sweat it. It will wear off. Or you can take a damp towel and try rubbing it off. You can also use Windex... yeah, it will work, and won't do any damage for a 1 time use.

Is Ernie Ball Guitar Polish for the neck of the guitar too?

I do not use any cleaner on my guitar, I think it is bad for it. just use a dry CLEAN cloth and whip it down good. yes you should be able to take the strings off the guitar and leave it for a day..

How can I remove these swirl marks and pick marks on my Ibanez S570?

Q. I have only had it a week and a half and already its got pic marks on it from last nights gig and swirl marks on it from where i polished it! How Can I get rid of these inexpensively? Im using Kyser Guitar polish and a really soft yellow duster cloth thing, can I just polish the marks out? :D Thanks guys!

what is wrong with having a guitar that looks played? i consider all the marks, scratches, dings and swirls as a badge of my hard work and dedication to the craft of making music on a guitar. i say keep the swirls! viva guitar!

What is good to clean a electric guitar body and fretboard?

What would be good to use besides actual guitar polish? What household stuff would work? I'm mainly trying to get finger prints and finger grease off the body, neck, and the gunk off my ebony fretboard on my Parker Guitar.

Once a year i use Formby's pure lemon oil on the necks of my guitars. With old strings on lay the guitar on its back on a table. Put a towel underneath the neck to catch the drips that fall, then squirt the oil on the neck making sure to get enough on to cover the entire fretboard. Let it sit for about 2 minutes then wipe the remaining oil off with a hand full of paper towels. The oil is good for your neck but its important to get the excess off as you don't want to let too much soak in but you have to put enough on so you get it on the entire fretboard. As you wipe off the remaining lemon oil it will also clean the neck of any grease or dirt. After about a week change the strings and your all set. You should also use the oil to clean the body, but only a little bit so you don't leave it greasy. For a regular neck cleaning i use a little windex sprayed on a wash rag then wipe the neck making sure to get in between each fret. Do not spray the windex on the neck, make sure you put it on the rag then wipe the neck. I do this when i'm putting on a fresh set of strings.
