I specifically want to know how to turn piano and guitar notes to trumpet. But guitar translation is more important to me. Also any mention of software or hardware that does the job would be appreciated
In other words, how do you hand transcribe.

I had the same problem awhile ago, so went looking for a transposition chart, and I found this one (link in sources). It really helped, and the piano/guitar notes would be in the C instrument column, and the trumpet would be in the B-flat instrument column.
Hope this helps (it's a bit time consuming though).
