my guitar makes a horrible vibrating noise when I play a G chord. Not always. I hear it when I try to pluck a G chord. What can I do to stop that horrible noise from happening?

Prusa might be right, that its an equipment problem. But the other possiblity is what the airlines call "pilot error" - LOL! Seriously, it sounds like you are a relatively new player, so make sure that you are pressing all the notes down successfully in the chord.
Here's an exercise to help - finger the G chord with your left hand and with your right hand play each individual string one at a time. If you hear a godawful buzzing on a string, adjust your left hand so that it goes away (press down firmly on the string directly behind the fret, with the finger not touching any other strings).
Another possiblity is that you are getting fret buzz from the action being set too low. You would need to take the guitar into a repair technician to diagnose and deal with the problem.
