I want to decorate my room with a theme of Bob Marley.
Like posters, a rug, blanket, lamp, etc.
Where can i get this stuff?
I know i can probably get them from ebay (i've already bought some posters from there) but is there a store that has lots of Bob Marley related items?

Thanks!

What are some unique restaurants that one can visit?

I remember one that was a roaring 20s type and waiters were dressed like Al Capone, etc. The menu was carried by the waiter in a guitar case much like where guns were hidden in gangster movies. What are some that you have experienced?

Answer
#1
Ice restaurant in Dubai.
Dubai is in the Middle East.
Everything is made of ice: the walls, tables and chairs;
cups, glasses and plates; the art on the wall, the sculptures
depicting Dubai’s skyline, the beaded curtains, and the 7-foot-chandelier.
Diffused lighting, from low-heat LED bulbs, constantly changes colours as it filters through the ice blocks. Sheepskin rugs cover the seats for the diners’ comfort. Cocktails are served in ice glasses that are later discarded. Hot drinks and food, from an Asian fusion menu, are served in stainless steel thermos containers — but still get cold within 15 minutes

“Hospitalis, a hospital themed restaurant in Riga, Latvia
#3
Dinner in the Sky, Dinner in the Sky is hosted at a table suspended at a height of 50 metres, by a team of professionals.
#4
London's Dans Le Noir (In The Dark), restaurant. Dining in the dark and when I say dark, this is pitch-black, can't-see-your-hand-in-front-of-your-face dark. The concept is simple and symbolic: all the waiters are blind and for the duration of your meal, the tables are turned. The waiters are in command: you rely on them to lead you to your seat, to deliver the meal and to lead you back to the ante-room.
On arrival, we choose a menu colour: white (could be anything), red (no seafood), blue (seafood) and green (vegetarian).

Underwater Restaurant in Maldives
#10
Treehouse Restaurant in New Zeland.

interior decorating wise/me

this is what im into

i'm into music bigtime
guitars/bands
art
stars
van's shoes/the altern lifestyle
and Jesus Christ

plus I have a really big bigscreen tv, where could i put it?
or should i put it in my room?

Answer
First of all, sure, keep your TV. If you spend time in there watching it, why not? Put it opposite of where you will be sitting to watch it. Second, for decorating, not sure what color green your room is but black and white will always go with green. Your into music, put some whimsical music notes on the wall, look around eBay or area stores for the wall hangings, or use guitars for decorations on the wall. You can find border in musical notes at any local wallpaper store. You could hang up a green neon sign, table lamp/light in any deco theme. Mix and match your colors from the bedspread/comforter to pillows and rugs. You can also find some abstract wall decor/paintings to hang on the wall. Let your imagination go! Check out your local thrift stores for any useful items, you could always add your own personal touch. Good luck and have fun with it!

Can you put studio foam on a guitar amp instead of the walls?

I am in a garage band and the echo in the garage kills the music. I am going to buy studio foam to help keep the echo out but if I attached the foam to the speaker of the guitar amp, would it do the same as if I attached in on the walls?

Answer
Hello! No, the foam added to the speaker will only serve to directionalize the sound coming from the amplifier; it will do nothing to help mitigate the reflected frequencies in your garage (well, maybe it will make them bounce around a bit more!). Even if you put it right in front of the speaker cone, it will only muffle the sound, which when you turned it up to hear better, would still resound off the garage walls. Use foam, area rugs (hung vertically), and even furniture to help absorb the sound. Best regards, Dana

I just moved in a new house and i need to decorate my room. I'm 15 and i listen to lots of rock and alternative music. and i play guitar. So how can I decorate my room?
im kinda stuck with blue because my couch and my comforter are blue.

Answer
Black Furniture
Light Gray Comforter
Pink or Purple sheets and throw pillows ( for a splash of girl color)
Gray walls
Black Rug
And for you decrorations keep it the girl color.

With all the black and gray it will keep it dark and gloomy and the girl color will make it not seem so gloomy but it will make it seem like a big f u to the dark. like with a guys rock room... all the black but with a splash of red. your jus changing that into a theme that fits a gurl thats all.

What Can I Do With My Bedroom?

My room is a bit boring. A Television, Computer, a bed, some chairs, a small table, a guitar, a few band posters and a cd player, but not much else details my humble abode. A game system or two as well, but video games are of no importance to this topic. anything else that anyone can think of that i could put in my room to make it more fun or just "wow"?
Thank You for your answer. Not quite what I'm looking for, but a step in the right direction. :-)

Answer
Start simple, being that less is more. It sounds like you need some color. But I wouldn't go painting unless you own the home. So I suggest buying curtains for the window, a large mirror (they are cheap at places like Ross or Wal-mart), and also at walmart they have frames for the band posters to make a more posh look. Another Idea is to add a colorful (and to your style) area rug. Hey if you feel like you want some ambiance you could add wall sconces (candle holders) you never know when that might come in handy. Have fun with it. and do a little at a time, because too much can be exactly that, too much.

What supplies do you need to start a band?

guitar rug image

I know the PA system (for the singers) Guitars, and the drums. Are there any others? And do you have to have a bassist to make it sound right?

Answer
There are a few bands that have been successful without a bass, The Doors, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, etc., but yes it is very essential to have a bass player in most all situations. Especially if you are playing covers. Other than the instruments of course you will need a PA system and generally a small light show, 8 cans up front (4 per side) is pretty much the minimum. If you will have a sound man you'll also need a snake to connect mics and instruments to the mixing board. If you mix from stage this is not necessary. Also remember that you need a vehicle large enough to transport this equipment. Don't forget little things like mic stands and some area rugs to cover the cables so you don't trip over them on stage. Anyone that sings will need a vocal monitor.

How can I stop my Guitar Hero 5 drums from slipping on wooden floor?

guitar rug image

Q. When I use the kick pedal my drums start to gradually slide away from me. I don't have a mat or a rug to put them on, so they have to be placed on my wooden floor. Anyone got any tips to get them to stay put?

Answer
You can do the same thing us drummers do and get a rug just for your drums. It needs to be big enough for the entire kit and for you to sit on, that helps keep it in place. Below is a link to some, but really you'll get a better deal buying a regular rug at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. You want something that is a little heavy and has a rubber backing. The best rug I've ever used was the one like many schools, businesses, etc. put in front of a large double door as a mat.
