For Christmas I am getting my girlfriend there neon orange hair extension (she has a lot of colors but not orange and she really wants them but can not find them)

i was also going to turn these bright orange guitar picks into earrings for her (we both play)

is this a good idea and how should i go about sterilizing the metal for the earrings?

I have no idea about the sterilization part - maybe you could get them really hot? But I think that's a great present. It's thoughtful and your gf will look cute.
