I have a 1980's Yamaha RGX series electric guitar with a bolt-on neck. I broke the neck and am searching for a replacement. When I search, I see necks online described by "scale." How do I know what "scale" neck my guitar requires?

Count the frets on the broken one. It'll be somewhere between 20 and 24, buy a replacement with the same number of frets.
