I herd that Rock Band 1-2 comes with a guitar, set of drums, and a microphone, and so does Guitar Hero World Tour. So then whats the difference between these two games?
Answer
this is IGN's description of world tour
Guitar Hero World Tour delivers more ways to play than ever before. Virtual musicians can live out their rock and roll fantasies by playing either a single instrument, or any combination of instruments, in addition to the full band experience.
In addition to all of the online gameplay modes from Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero World Tour introduces Battle of the Bands mode which allows eight players to join online and challenge each other band-to-band to determine who is the best of the best. In the Band modes, up to four players can jam together, online or off, as they progress through the game, and in single-player Career Mode, players can jam on any of the instruments in branching venue progression enabling them to rock out in the order of their choice.
This version of the Guitar Hero World Tour package includes everything you'll need for the complete GH experience -- packed in are the game as well as a guitar, microphone and drum kit.
now mine is this,
world tour is a royal pain in the ass. the drum kit works fine, but you'll need to buy the tuner to fix the problem with the drum pads. the notes do not always land when you hit them as you should. so ontop of 200 for the bundle, you'll need 80 for the tuner as well. also, there is not many options available in the store. like in GH and rockband titles you can buy tracks depending on your progress and how much money earned in the game. you can do this with GHWT but on a very limited scale. there are some GREAT tool songs in the game, but again GH did not sign with tool for consent. and may face game recall in the future.
rock band has a great selection of songs AND expansion packs ontop of purchasing others in the game. you dont even need the rock band main game to purchase and play the expansion packs. there are no flaws in rock bands equipment and there is no need for other accessories and so on that cost an arm and a leg. i would say rock band is your very best bet on whats better
