Do electric guitar strings work for any electric guitar?

I have a Lyon Electric Guitar by Washburn, and I need to restring it. Do any electric guitar strings work with any electric guitar? For example, I am wanting to buy Elixr electric guitar strings for my guitar. Will they work? Or is there anything else I need to consider? Thanks!
