Does anyone know of any good Japanese girl bands?

Now here is the catch. I love this music but a lot of the bands have a really cutesy style and they're music is so happy, don't get me wrong I like that kind of music but to say it properly I like more up-beat style sometimes too, like Beginner by AKB48, so anyone have any suggestions?
