I've been thing about learning how to play the guitar now and over the summer. So i decided to borrow my brother's guitar.
But two of the tuning pegs are gone, and the and the metal-screw thing that the tuning pegs were attatched to is still there but will only turn one way, not the other.
I wanna start playing tonight, so how can I fix this so I can start practicing with a tuned guitar??
Answer
You will need to replace those tuners. Most likely this will require buying a whole set. Try http://www.stewmac.com or http://www.allparts.com to find something similar. Try to match what you've got as closely as possible. Hole sizes and spacing can vary.
A music store may or may not have what you need. Sometimes they'll have a "parts box" with odd tuners, etc.
