How to start playing the electric guitar?

I want to start playing the guitar prefferably electric.
are there any suggestions on brands, accseriories, or anything that can help me get started as in instructions thx.

get epiphone or fender, a marshall amp. sturdy strap,chord poster,a pick(ernie ball or dunlopp picks)
gibson(guitars)rock but they are expensive.
