I'm looking into buying a new one. Been playing for 3 years. Kind of stuck on what to get. I want something that sounds good. More into playing blues type stuff, riffs like dan auerbach from the black keys. I really dig the fuzz type blues sound. I was thinking maybe a gibson les paul but not sure. Price range is about 1000

Blues and Jazz sounds amazing from any of gibson's hollow body electrics. Look into those. Their sound is really unmatched for that style. But if your more into putting less of an attack of notes then you have to buy a fender because gibson doesn't have near the same quality sound knobs. If you'd rather that, then look for a fender with probably a single humbucker and a 2 pick ups.
