I have a Yanaha Eg 112-c guitar that has a broken jack plate and the selector switch is a bit touchy. I have to jiggle it a bit to get the pickup to work. It also suffers from a buzzing sound from improper grounding.

The Yamaha EG 112C is an inexpensive guitar, aimed at the beginning player market; however, they are apparently very nice instruments that have popular appeal with some collectors and builders. It will likely cost you $20 in parts and $60 in labor to have the output jack plate and selector switch replaced at a shop; unfortunately, this cost starts to approach the full value of a pre-owned Yamaha EG 112C (see http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=yamaha+eg+112c+guitar&_sacat=0&_odkw=yamaha+eg+guitar+output+jack&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 for some examples).
My suggestion would be to make the repairs yourself, which would really only take your time to find, purchase, and install the parts; yes, some soldering and assembly skills are required, but certainly nothing very complicated. In regards to the output jack, I am assuming yours looks like http://www.deadzoom.com/member/phillybluz/ya7.JPG , in which case I would suggest you replace the damage-prone factory plastic part with a suitable metal piece (see http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Hardware,_parts/Electric_guitar:_Covers_plates/Oval_Jack_Plate.html for one possible source). If you are handy with shaping metal, this could easily be made from a small piece of aluminum or steel sheet stock and formed to fit.
