Can you use the same guitar from Guitar Hero World Tour and play it with Guitar Hero 5?

I have guitar hero world tour and the guitar that comes with it, but I want to buy guitar hero 5. I dont want to buy another guitar for guitar hero 5 so can I use the guitar from world tour? Also can it be used with a Rock Band game?
