So, I want to buy my boyfriend a new guitar tuner for christmas, but I know NOTHING about them. I don't want a cheap one, but I don't want to spend too much money for it. My price limit is probably around $50. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks =]

I like the Qwik Tune QT-11. It is cheap and easy to use. It works on electric and acoustic. Here is a link to one at eBay.

If you watch the auctions, you sometimes can pick up one even cheaper. If you are in a hurry to get it, then there are buy it own listings at a reasonable price. Look around some on eBay for others.
