Does anyone have any good gift ideas for a musician?

Particularly a death metal guitar player?
He loves to record and although his music sucks (I just hate death metal), he is very talented and does have a broad range.
I'm looking for something functional (no keychains or ties), he's a big gear head so any ideas would be appreciated.

There is not a musician I know that wouldn't appreciate a gift certificate or gift card or whatever from their favorite music store. We all have gear needs... :-)
