I have a guitar distortion pedal, is there any way i could use that for the sustain pedal on my keyboard?

Umm, no... it's a completely different idea.
Guitar pedals provide sustain on guitars because they help create a feedback loop that can cause feedback or prevent releasing. But that doesn't work on a keyboard. There's no feedback loop.
For a keyboard you need a pedal that will tell it to keep the notes from releasing.
