guitar lessons for beginners dvd image

i love music and i've had a guitar for a little over a year and tried to teach myself how to play but it hasn't worked out . guitar lessons are not a option so where do i need to start off in teaching myself how to play ?

There's a great instructional DVD set that only costs $36, but which will teach you everything you'd learn with years of private lessons. It starts with the very basics (names and functions of guitar parts, tuning, etc.) and builds from that. There are DVDs for beginner, intermediate and advanced and books that accompany them. I bought the set after having played for more than 20 years and can't believe how much my playing has improved. Plus, DVDs are more convenient than lessons because you can learn at your own pace and go back and review things whenever you feel the need. Here's a link:
