My guitar's bridge has begun to break apart where the strings are resting-- the strings are starting buzz when i play it, due to the damage. How much would it cost for a fix?
Answer
The strings ride on the saddle. The bridge is the wooden part that the saddle sits in. You can buy a plastic one already shaped cheap at a music store. Bring your guitar and let them pick one that fits. I'm talking 3 or 4 dollars. The best saddles are bone and have to be shaped by you or them. All of my acoustics have bone saddles that I shaped. Check it out and see which is the best way to go. Good luck.
