I need a tool similar to a very fine file for making a guitar nut?

I need to file in the grooves for each string to sit on the guitar.
I'm guessing a very small fine file would do.
Any other suggestions?

(the nut has grooves in but they need to be deeper)

We dont have ace hardware in UK.
I checked in wickes which is our hardware store but its rubbish.
