Whats the difference between an acoustic guitar and a electric acoustic guitar? and how does the electric acoustic one work?

Answer
The acoustic guitar is just that...it's an acoustic guitar where the sound is amplified within the guitar, and that sound comes out of the hole in the guitar.
An electric acoustic guitar can be used unplugged as a regular acoustic guitar, or you can plug it into an amp.
Near the bridge of a normal electric guitar is a pick up (electro magnetic pole pieces which "pick up" the sound. The electro magnetic type of pickups are what you see on normal guitars. On an electric acoustic guitar there is a pick up, but it is a Piezo Electric Crystal...(this will convert mechanical energy to sound...or simply put it will convert the vibrations of the strings to a sound that you and I can hear).
An electric acoustic will also have a volume knob, a tone knob, and sometimes an Equalizer (EQ). A regular acoustic guitar will never have any of these.
So with the Piezo Electric Crystal and the volume/tone controls...all you have to do is plug your guitar into an amp and start jamming.

I hope that answers your question.
