i was wondering if someone can tell me how i can hook up 32 band graphic eq through a tube amp? the back of my graphic eq has an input and output, which say 4db unity gain. i have one y cable, both jacks inserted in each.
the back of my tube amp has 3 jacks. in order being "foot switch, line in, and line out)
thank you so much for helping me out guys in advance.

A 32 band graphic E.Q. is a bit overkill for a guitar amp but to each his own. The way to use it with the tube amp is to run the line out jack of the amp to the input of the E.Q. then the output of the E.Q. to the line in on the amp. No Y cable needed.
The line out of the tube amp takes the preamp signal from the amp (initial gain stage and tone controls) and "sends" that signal to whatever processing equipment you chose to use (E.Q., effects unit, etc.) After the signal goes through the processor of your choice it is "returned" to the amp via the line in which sends the signal to the power amp section of the amp (master volume) This is commonly referred to as an effects "loop".
