I have a custom made stratocaster guitar and would like to know any useful tips for improving any part of it, tone, comfort etc etc. thanks :)

Hello, Craig! Some of the simpler changes I regularly make to my Stratocasters (besides initial setup, of course!) include replacing the stock string trees with roller trees ( http://store.guitarfetish.com/paofrosttrch.html ), switching to a graphite nut ( http://www.graphtech.com/products.html?CategoryID=5 ), installing a treble-bleed circuit ( http://www.bothners.co.za/articles/volumepot2.shtml ), blocking the upward movement of the tremolo bridge ( http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091212203236AAwbLlQ ), and installing a quick-release strap-lock system. More extensive (and expensive) changes would be converting to locking tuners (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead_tuners/Schaller_Tuners/Schaller_Locking_Guitar_Machines.html ), changing to an LSR roller nut ( http://www.marshallparts.com/products/718/FENDER-LSR-ROLLER-NUT.htm ), upgrading (Wilkinson or Fender Deluxe model) and stabilizing ( http://joe.emenaker.com/TremStabilizers/index.html ) the tremolo bridge, adding a modified TBX Control ( http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WDUSSS5L1205 and http://www.fenderforum.com/forum.html?db=&topic_number=194509 ), and installing stacked-humbucker pickups (Seymour-Duncan, DiMarzio, etc.). Hope I didn’t get too carried away; if not, check out http://www.tdpri.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-37451.html for lots of other thoughts! Best regards, Dana
