This is regarding purchase of a Peavey guitar amplifier from the US.
I live in India. My brother in Wisconsin wants to buy and send me a Peavey Vyyr amp as a gift. But he is not sure about the shipping and customs, etc.
After the amp has been purchased by him from any guitar store, how should he ship it to India? Are there any restrictions on shipping guitar stuff outside the U.S.? Also the amp costs $130. So what will be the customs/ duty charge?

Lol, no. It's not a restricted technology or information.

One of the International shipping companies like UPS, DHL, etc.

This can be tricky.
I did a quick search and found this

I could not get a direct calculator link, but "Percussion" instrument valued at $130 would be about $40 in taxes.
With shipping and customs, it's probably going to double the total cost.
