help making a guitar pick necklace?

well i went to a green day concert, and i got one of mikes picks, i really want it to be made into a necklace. how would i do it? how would i make a hole in it without breaking it? what should i make the necklace out of, im a guy so it cant be anything girly. thanks for the help

here's what i did for mine. i got a matching puka necklace and got some crafting wire from michaels. took a nail and hammered the tip of it on the pick to make a small hole. made a loop with the crafting wire to connect the pick to the necklace. if puka necklaces aren't your style i've seen people use small ball-chain necklaces to string them. another way to make a hole would be to burn the tip of a paper clip or something and melt a hole. but that depends what the pick is made of. the pick i used is acetal and a nail worked fine. if it's nylon i don't think you could burn a hole through it that good. and if it's lexan i think it would be hard to nail a hole through. also celluloid picks are flammable so be careful with those :P good luck
