I'm 14 in 9th grade. I have never picked up a guitar before in my life.-. I really want to play! I listen to really fast paced music and id LOVE to learn how to play some. I'm right handed and my left hand is really uncoordinated. which is bad because I'm pretty sure left hand does the most work. I want to know if I should even attempt to try to play because of that or if I should. if so, what's a.good beginning guitar. I have a budget of about a thousand dollars. And what all do you need? I know you need a pick, probably amps, and straps if it doesn't already have one...right? Please help. I'm deciding whether this is right for me. so please tell me your opinion!

Answer
The right hand does just as much work as the left. From alternate picking, string skip picking, Arpeggios, Sweep picking etc.... I would get a guitar with humbuckers . Ibanez sells some guitars at 350 to 500 bucks with humbucker pickups and they are good for beginners.

As for Amp get a regular basic practice amp and test it out, get one that has clean and distortion mode.

Some pedals I recommend you should get are by a company called Behringer ( They sell pedals for 4 times cheaper than other companies) also I got a book that can teach you how to play that I recommend. Here are links for some pedals that are great and a book. Guitar and amp use your judgement.

The pedals are extremely cheap, but they work great and good if you're on budget. I use the Flanger with phaser on together all the time all at 12 o clock and I have the other pedals on or off. Good luck.
