How to make your own ornament?

Last year my friend got me a really cute ornament. It's clear glass ball with colorful polkadots and a "j" on it. I love it! I want to learn how to make one, either online or by hand. If by hand., what supplies would I need?

You need to go to a craft store they might even have a kit, i used to make them when i was little with my mom, you would need a bulb and paint
