I was wondering if there are professionals that will paint your bass or guitar a different color. Basically any kind of guitar/bass customization. Does anyone know of anything that does this?

There are usually lots of people who do custom paint jobs on guitars - small workshops that make guitars will usually do it. Ask in a local guitar shop. To get a really good job done it will require lots of coats of proper lacquer and will be expensive - make sure they don't just spray it with car paint (which will chip and scratch really easily.)
