Answer
Rest the guitar on your leg with the curved part on your leg. You should wear a strap so you don't have to hold the guitar with your non-strumming hand. The strap will hold it for you. If you don't use a strap then you'll have a hard time because you'll have to hold the guitar neck with your left hand (assuming you are right handed) while changing frets. That will be tough. I'd suggest buying a strap. A wide strap will be more comfortable.

If you are right handed strum with your right hand. If you're left handed strum with your left hand but in that case you hopefully bought a left handed guitar.

You strum by moving your hand at the wrist over the strings you want to strum. Each chord has a different set of strings that you strum. Some strum all 6 strings (like E and G). Some strum 5 strings (like A and C). And some strum only 4 (like D and some F chords).

IM me or email me if you want more info.

Hope that helps.
