Will using a pl splitter on my guitar pedal hurt sound (bypass) quality?

I want to connect a pl splitter to my guitar overdrive pedal, so one cable will continue to the other pedals(and finally - to the amp), and the other directly to a digital tuner. will it hurt the signal going from my guitar to the amp, and therefore hurt my sound quality?
