I am making a guitar amp, i have speakers already but dont have the money to make an amp with a bunch of controls, so i just want a power cord thingy and a volume knob, i may make little slots for guitar pedals that you can insert for effects, but anyways. How would i wire it? It would be a cabinet, with a speaker, one volume knob and obviously a cord to plug into the wall for power

Answer
good luck.

you'll need to know a little more about electronics than you show you know. Electronics design is something you don't want to muck with unless you have an understanding of what you're doing!

besides, an amp without the other "bunch of controls" as you call it is completely useless. If you have the speakers, you'll need wood to secure them. And with that you could have gotten a cheap solid state amp for less than you paid for them speakers, wood, electronics and knobs. then, you would need to construct it.

Drop $100 bucks on an amp - got a great Fender practice amp for less than that
