Q. I know that on some Guitar Hero games you can use the regular controller to play the guitar/bass. So is this possible on guitar hero world tour? And if so, where are the settings to change from guitar to regular controller?

No. I've got GH WT on PS3 and tried it before, it doesn't work without a guitar, you can't use the standard controller.
