How do I play music from my ipod on my amp?

What kind of jack would i need to be able to plug a normal guitar amp wire into an ipod, like what size?

Answer
I donno i think you would need a adaptor because the ipod is a earphone jack and the guitar wire is different you need an adaptor or a special cord.
