What is a good acoustic guitar maker?

I'm just picking up the guitar so naturally I don't want to shell out a ton of cash. What manufacturer offers good quality at a reasonably low price? And I mean I am quite short on cash at the moment...

Epiphone, Ibanez, Takemine, Yamaha, and Alvarez all make very good entry level guitars, Fender, Rouge, or anything found at Walmart, Target, Best Buy or Toys R Us should be avoided,
