What are some good knitting patterns that don't use a lot of wool?

I have a few single skeins that don't go with anything else, and I'd hate for them to go to waste.

I don't want to knit pot holders!

Any suggestions? :-)

Answer
You can knit scarves, caps, gloves, clothes for a baby, slippers, socks, toys, pillow covers, doll clothes, holiday decorations, tea cozies, cell phone holders, guitar straps, loads of things!

If you look at a book for household items, you'll find lots of ideas. You also could use bits to make a patchwork quilt or sweater.

Try watching Knitty Gritty on DIY too...they always have unusual projects on and they have lots of patterns & ideas online:

Here are some free pattern sites online that might help too:

Happy knitting!
