I have a acoustic guitar and i feel i can't do some songs because i don't have a whammy bar, and hammer on's on my acoustic guitar you can't even hear them. I can only learn songs like Holiday, Pretty Fly For A White Guy etc. I'm hopefully getting a electric guitar in about another 3 weeks will getting a electric guitar make me play better and could i learn harder songs straight away? I've only been playing about 2 months.

The action on an elecrtic guitar is usually much lower. This means the strings are easier to press down, the bridge is lower, more comfortable, etc. This will make it easier to play things that you already know, but it wont make you any better. If you meant holiday by greenday, that will be much easier to play on an electric guitar as the barchords are going to be way easier to press down. You wont have to press as hard, the motions of your fretting hand will probably feel smoother, you don't have to strum as hard to hear (when it is plugged in that is).
You need to decide what sort of guitarist you want to be. Once I bought an electric guitar I never touched an acoustic again (I tend to play fast neoclassical, metal, etc). If you want to be versatile, you need to keep playing acoustic regularly, learn to finger pick, etc. I learned to finger pick on an electric guitar, but now when I try to play an acoustic I find it more difficult because the body, neck and strings are larger, and the strings are higher.
As for learning harder songs, in my opinion, the only way for you to improve (especially if you want to get good quickly) is to learn songs that are too hard for you. Then, as long as you use the right technique, you should just keep practicing them until you can play them. Then, start learning another song. Just keep moving forward, don't stop, you will get good very quickly.
